A $2.5 billion nail plant in Missouri could help grow marijuana business, according to the company that owns the plant.
Nail Polish, a Missouri-based company, said Thursday it had received a permit from the Missouri Department of Revenue to begin growing marijuana on the property.
Nelp Polish plans to use the $1 billion plant for its first marijuana growing facility in Kansas City, Missouri, in the first year.
That plant is set to be completed in March 2018, with a second location planned for 2018.
The plant is one of several planned for Kansas City by the company.
In January, the company filed paperwork to open a new facility in the city of Wichita, Missouri.
